Contemporary Cupping
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of complementary medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. Cupping stimulates the reorganization of dehydrated tissue and adhesions in the fascial system by creating an opposing force through pulling and sucking. Tissue is impacted by creating a force which moves the blood from one region of the body to another. This stimulates vasodilation in the tissue and brings a fresh supply of oxygen rich blood into tissue. This is perfect for clients with chronic holding patterns and contraction that experience ischemia which limits mobility, reduces functionality and creates pain complaints and dysfunction throughout the whole body.
